Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is an anionic detergent used to solubilize and denature proteins in protein extraction and SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis; also used in a wide range of hybridization and molecular biology applications. SDS (20% Solution) is effective in both ionic and anionic conditions.
Suitable for electrophoresis, protein and nucleic acid purification, cell disruption, prehybridization, and hybridization solutions, and biochemical applications requiring high purity SDS.
The buffer contains 20% (w/v) SDS in distal water. It is provided as 1000mL in one bottle.
