RPMI 1640 is a commonly used cell culture medium suitable for a variety of mammalian

cells, including HeLa cells, Jurkat cells, MCF-7 cells, PC-12 cells, PBMCs, astrocytes,

and cancer cells among others.

RPMl 1640 medium contains amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, and other essential

components for the growth of various cell types. lt is particularly well-suited for

suspension cell culture and is widely used in research and biotechnology.
